Understandable, but why would they never even write about it?
Because they may need to go back there?
And they couldn’t report it under a different name?
Not that I’m disagreeing, just examining holes.
They would likely have to report it under a different name and claim employment from a different news agency, and even then, depending on what they reported, they might still be able to figure out which reporter–or group of reporters–it was.
This, of course, is also assuming the journalists or their employers don’t already have a bias and/or an interest in reporting both sides of the story.
